PLN scheduled a power outage in DIY Thursday, August 7, 2025, this is a list of affected areas

KABARJAWA – PT PLN (Persero) is back to carry out crucial duties in order to maintain the stability of electricity supply in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Thursday, August 7, 2025, PLN officers from various customer service units will conduct network maintenance and repair in five districts/cities. As a result of this technical work, a number of areas will experience temporary power outages.

PLN conveyed official information to the public regarding the schedule and location of the blackout through circulars and online media.

In its official statement, PLN emphasized that this activity aims to increase the reliability of electricity supply and prevent greater interference in the future.

Kalasan Unit focus on changing LBS, dozens of affected areas

PLN Kalasan officers will replace the LBS (Load Break Switch) as part of the network maintenance agenda on Thursday afternoon at 13.00 to 16.00 WIB. This project takes place in a densely populated area and education area.

Officers will kill temporary electricity in the region: PR Selo Asri, DN Pokoh Wedomartani, DN Gandok, PR Mitra Griya Asri, Dn Nelongrejo, Dn Kepuh, Dn Babadan Wedomartani, DN Rejosari Wedomartani, UPN Practice Garden, Dn Jangkang Wedomartani, Pr Puri Domas Jangkang, DN Dero, DN Karang, DN KarangSem Wedomartani, PDAM Kregan, DN Panjen, SD/SMP/SMA Budi Mulia, DN Kenayan, Jl Tajem, Adi TV, DN Sidorejo, DN Sambiroto, PR Griya Purwa Asri, PR Asoka Citra, PR UPN Veteran, SDN Sambiroto 1, Dn Karanglo/Genjeng, Mas, PR Agatama Residences, UGM Techno Park, and Housing Complex in the Purwomartani area.

PLN conveyed an apology for the inconvenience caused and hoped that the community could prepare for this blackout.

Wonosari officers cut down trees, electricity in Playen and Paliyan extinguished three hours

On the other hand, officers from the Wonosari customer service unit will also maintain the network with the agenda of cutting trees approaching the electric cable (ROW). PLN scheduled a power outage starting at 10:00 to 13:00 WIB.

The affected areas include: DN Ngleri Playen, DN Mojosari Playen, DN Plembutan Playen, DS Grogol Paliyan, Ds Pampang Paliyan, DN Karangduwet, and Pendem Karangduwet, DN Paliyan Kidul Paliyan, and Dn Paliyan Lor Paliyan.

PLN assesses this step is important to prevent serious disorders due to tree branches that often touch the tissue during the rainy season and strong winds.

Sleman Performs Plant Cutting, Dozens of Padukuhan are Affected

The Sleman unit will carry out the maintenance of the network and cutting down trees around the electric cable. PLN scheduled this work to take place at 10:00 to 13:00 WIB.

PLN Bantul will run the PBPD (Periodic Maintenance Center Distribution) project on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 13:00 WIB. This maintenance targets densely populated areas in Pundong, Jetis, Patalan, Trimulyo, Canden, and Selopamioro Districts.

The area to go out of electricity includes Pulokadang Sumberagung, Barongan, Standing, Bakulan, Pule Sumberagung, Jetis Patalan, Karangnongko Sumberagung, Sawo, Patent, Kiyaran, Kowang Trimulyo, Canden Klas, Plembutan, Suren Wetan, Ngibikan, Jiwan, Kiringan, Fake Gulon, Canden, Srayu Canden, Ledok Gaten, Sraten, Kadilobo, Sragen Potrobayan, Krinjing Selopamioro, Bango, Putat, Hamlet Seloharjo, Nambangan, Bobok Temp, Dermo Jungi, Pentung, Kalinampu, and Secang.

Officers will check the distribution system and replace several components that start to wear.

Wates do the morning maintenance, the five regional areas are temporarily extinguished

PLN Wates also maintained PBPD maintenance on Thursday morning at 10:00 to 13:00 WIB. The affected areas include: Pleret, Bugel, Depok, Tayuban, and surrounding areas.

Officers will replace old short circuit networks and ensure that distribution substations function optimally ahead of the rainy season.

PLN reminded people not to build buildings, billboards, or antennas near the electricity network. Residents are also asked not to play kites or cut down trees without coordination with officers.

“Safety of the community remains our priority. We hope that people can understand and prepare themselves to face this blackout schedule,” said PLN DIY.
