FTI UAJY Establishes International Cooperation with Van Lang University Vietnam to Strengthen Global Programs

FTI UAJY has established international collaboration with Van Lang University Vietnam through collaborative classes, academic competitions and global summer camps.

KabarJawa.com – Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) Atma Jaya University, Yogyakarta expanding international collaboration through collaboration with the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management, Van Lang University. This agreement was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on May 9 2026 as part of efforts to develop global education programs.

In the process of signing the collaboration, UAJY was represented by Paulus Mudjihartono, ST, MT, Ph.D., while Van Lang University was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh. This agreement is a strategic step for FTI UAJY in strengthening international academic networks while opening wider collaboration opportunities for students and lecturers.

Focus on International Academic Collaboration

Collaboration between the two institutions includes a number of programs designed to support the development of international education and increase the global competence of the academic community. One of the main programs that will be implemented is Joint Teaching through Collaborative Classes.

This program allows lecturers from both universities to be involved in the collaborative learning process in partner classes. It is hoped that the presence of teachers from two countries will provide a more diverse learning experience while enriching students’ international perspectives.

Apart from that, cross-border knowledge exchange is also expected to support the development of academic quality that is relevant to global industrial needs and developments in the world of international education.

Students have the opportunity to take part in international competitions

This collaboration also opens up opportunities for FTI UAJY students to participate in the SLOG Competition. This annual academic competition involves students from both institutions and is a forum for developing academic skills and international networking for students.

In this program, FTI UAJY students have the opportunity to take part in competitions with funding support from Van Lang University. It is hoped that this support can encourage student participation in international academic activities while increasing competitive experiences at the global level.

Student participation in international competitions is an important part of building adaptation skills, cross-cultural communication, and readiness to face the challenges of the global world of work.

Summer Camp Strengthens Cross-Cultural Interaction

Apart from teaching and competition programs, this collaboration also includes organizing a Summer Camp Program which takes place from May to July. The program will present academic activities and lectures involving students from both universities.

Through the Summer Camp Program, students have the opportunity to interact directly with participants from other countries. This activity is expected to strengthen cross-cultural understanding while expanding students’ international networks.

This program is also a means for the two institutions to introduce the learning systems, academic culture, and educational approaches applied at each university.

Increase the Global Competitiveness of Students and Lecturers

The international collaboration that FTI UAJY has established with Van Lang University is part of efforts to improve the quality of education through global collaboration that is oriented towards industrial needs and international research developments.

Apart from expanding academic networks in the Southeast Asia region, this collaboration is also expected to increase the global competence of FTI UAJY students and lecturers. Strengthening international cooperation is considered important to support the readiness of human resources to face the challenges of the world of work and research at the international level.

With this collaborative program, students and lecturers are expected to gain broader international academic experience, either through joint learning, competitions, or cultural and academic exchange activities.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
