Javanese news – The presence of the announcement of the registration of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) is one sign that the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year will soon end. Students at various levels are preparing to face the Final Semester Examination (UAS) for class promotion.

As time goes by to the end of the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year, teaching and learning activities begin to enter the closing phase.

Students throughout Indonesia are busy with preparation for facing the Final Semester Examination (UAS) as a determinant of class promotion. Not only that, parents also began to find out the schedule of school holidays in order to plan an agenda with family.

After going through a fairly intense examination period, students will be welcomed with an even semester break which generally lasts around June to July 2025. However, it is important to note that the duration and date of this holiday is not uniform in all regions of Indonesia.

Because the determination of the holiday schedule refers to the educational calendar determined by each education office at the provincial, district/city level, even to the level of education unit (especially private schools).

• Southeast Sulawesi: June 22 to July 12, 2025
• Papua Mountains (Jayawijaya Regency): June 28 to July 12, 2025

National Holidays and Leaves Together with 2025 remaining

Not only semester holidays, throughout 2025 there are still a number of red dates set by the government as a national holiday and joint leave.

This refers to the joint decision of three ministers, namely the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of PANRB through a Joint Decree (SKB) Number 1017/2024, Number 2/2024, and Number 2/2024.

The following is a list of the remaining national holidays from May to December 2025:

• May 29: Increase in Jesus Christ
• June 1: Birthday of Pancasila
• June 6: Eid al -Adha 1446 Hijri
• June 27: Islamic New Year 1447 Hijri (1 Muharam)
• August 17: Proclamation Day of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia
• September 5: Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW
• December 25: Christmas Day (Birth of Jesus Christ)

Meanwhile, here are the joint leave schedules that have also been determined:

• May 30: Holidays with an increase in Jesus Christ
• June 9: Leave together with Eid al -Adha
• December 26: Natal Leave

Long holiday at the end of May 2025: the right time to rest

Towards the end of May 2025, Indonesian people will enjoy a long holiday for four consecutive days. This holiday occurs because of a combination of red dates and joint leave that falls on weekends. This is certainly a moment that is the right moment for the family to plan a short vacation or just rest from a daily routine.

2. Sunday, May 25 – weekend
3. Thursday, May 29 – Hari Raya Ascension Jesus Christ

6. Sunday, June 1 – Birthday of Pancasila (coinciding with Sunday)
