Polda DIY Holds a Joint Prayer and Commemoration of the Prophet’s Birth

KABARJAWA – Yogyakarta Special Regional Police (DIY) held a joint prayer as well as the commemoration of the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW 1447 H/2025 AD with a solemnity in the DIY Mapolda yard, Sunday (7/9/2025).

This sacred activity not only fosters a religious atmosphere, but also confirms the spirit of brotherhood and togetherness of all elements of society to keep Yogyakarta safe, peaceful, and conducive.

DIY Regional Police Chief Inspector General Anggoro Sukartono, SIK was present directly in this event with the ranks of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) DIY, Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB), TNI, Religious Leaders, Community Leaders, and Kamtibmas Partners such as Banser, Kokam, Senkom, Maintaining Citizens, Labers, to other representatives of mass organizations.

Thousands of eyes are on the main stage, where sincere prayers are offered for the safety of the nation and the welfare of the people of Yogyakarta.

A series of commemoration of the Prophet’s Birthday

The series of events began with the chanting of the holy verses of the Qur’an by Qori Ustaz Ahmad Nabil Mubarok, S. Sos who echoed in the morning in the morning air of Yogyakarta. After that, the Deputy Chief of DIY who also served as Chair of the Committee gave a full speech.

In his remarks, the Deputy Chief of Police emphasized that the commemoration of the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad must be an important momentum to emulate the morals of the Prophet.

He reminded that every member of the National Police must make honesty, trust, and patience as a foundation in carrying out the duties of the police and daily life.

“The example of the Prophet Muhammad must be present in our attitude, both when serving the community and maintaining the security of the country. Without noble morals, any task will feel empty,” he said.

The event was more solemn when KH. Imam Subarno rose to the pulpit to give religious tausiah. His loud but soothing voice emphasized the importance of imitating the values ​​of honesty, patience, and brotherhood taught by the Prophet.

He asserted that Yogyakarta could only remain conducive if all elements of society uphold brotherhood, mutual respect, and work together to maintain harmony.

KH. Imam Subarno then led a prayer together. Thousands of hands were raised to the sky, the sound of echoing prayers, seeking the protection of God Almighty for the people of Indonesia, Yogyakarta people, and all the peaceful staff at that time to maintain the peace of the state.

Head of DIY Regional Police Head of Kombes Pol Ihsan, SIK stressed that this activity was not just a ceremonial event, but a concrete evidence of the DIY Regional Police’s commitment in building spiritual and social closeness with the community.

“Religious activities like this we present as a form of commitment of the National Police together with the TNI and the community to keep Yogyakarta peaceful and conducive. We want to emphasize that the DIY Regional Police not only maintain security with weapons, but also with prayer and exemplary morals of the Prophet,” he said.

He added that the Islamic values ​​exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad would continue to be the foundation in providing the best service to the community.

According to him, the togetherness of the National Police, regional governments, TNI, religious leaders, mass organizations, and residents must be more strong so that Yogyakarta remains a peaceful, harmonious, and tolerance city.

The joint prayer activity and commemoration of the Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW confirmed an important message: Maintaining security is not only the task of the authorities, but it is a shared responsibility of all elements of society.
