“Journey of Grace” served a musical drama and a child’s choir full of meaning in Sleman City Hall

NEWS JAVA – In celebrating 40 years of dedication and service in the field of spiritual music, Angelic Choir presented a special concert titled Journey of Grace.

More than just a choir show, this concert combines elements of music and theater in a musical drama full of moral and spiritual messages, delivered by around 200 talented children who are members of Angelic Choir.

This grand concert was held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Kamala Grand Ballroom, Sleman City Hall, Yogyakarta. This location was chosen not without reason, Sleman City Hall is the only shopping center in Yogyakarta that is equipped with large-scale ballroom facilities, namely Kamala Grand Ballroom and Malika Ballroom, making it a representative place to hold a national-scale concert.

Journey of Grace is not an ordinary children’s concert. This show presents a combination of melodious vocal harmony and the delivery of theatrical stories.

Children who appear from various levels of age, ranging from five to seventeen years. They sang various types of repertoires, from folk songs (folk songs), spiritual songs (Sacred Songs), to operette pieces that aroused feelings.

The stories raised in this music drama presents a spiritual journey in pursuing truth, the direction of life, and the meaning of love.

With a touching plot and delivered through acting and song full of appreciation, this concert becomes a reflexology medium that is not only entertaining but also touches the hearts of every audience present.

The concert at Sleman City Hall is part of the Angelic Choir Concert Tour 2025 series, which will be held in three major cities: Yogyakarta, Jakarta and Bandung.

The three cities were chosen as the main location to reach more lovers of spiritual music and families who want to witness the offering of children who are not only talented, but also dedicated.

With the theme of Journey of Grace, this concert is not only a stage for children to display their musical abilities and acting, but also become a means of service that conveys the values ​​of life, love, and spirituality in the form of art.

Angelic Choir was established in 1985 under the auspices of the Indonesian Evangelical Church (GII) Hok Im Tong. For forty years, this choir has been a place for music and character coaching for more than 600 children aged 5 to 17 years.

Not only practice musical technical capabilities, Angelic Choir also instills family values, cooperation, and spiritual responsibilities in each of its activities.
