Javanese-Chinese cultural acculturation lives in Cokrodiningratan, a new heritage tour package withdrawing tourists’ attention

KABARJAWA – Cokrodiningratan Tourism Village (Kasaningrat) created a new breakthrough by presenting attractive cultural acculturation tour packages.

Sunday, June 26, 2025, Kasingrat held an event titled Synergize the value of the tradition of Cokrodiningratan at the Poncowinatan Temple. The community witnessed the cultural attractions which confirmed Javanese and Chinese harmony.

Kasingrat featured the Singo Mataram Lion Dance performance which was swiftly twisted with the accompaniment of the drums that vibrated the chest. Cakra Beksan dancer displays the Greatly Great Movement, combining a sacred element with the beauty of the Mataram choreography.

Ambarwati explained that the latest Kasaningrat tour packages focused on the potential heritage of Poncowinatan Village. Kasingrat prepares special exploration at the Poncowinatan Temple which is full of history and cultural values.

Ambarwati hopes that synergy with the Poncowinatan Temple manager will add to the attraction of tourists to visit the Cokrodiningratan tourism village. He asserted that increasing tourist visits would have a direct impact on the economy of citizens.

The Mayor of Yogyakarta, Hasto Wardoyo, was present at the event. He expressed his deep appreciation and fully support this acculturation tour package. Hasto praised Kasasingrat’s creative steps to elevate the potential of cultural arts in the village of Poncowinatan.

“This is a tangible form of active community participation in the preservation of culture and tradition. This kind of creativity must be imitated by other regions,” Hasto said in a proud tone.

Hasto considered the event to strengthen the image of Yogyakarta as a city of culture and tolerance city. He said the acculturation of Javanese and Chinese culture displayed in a tour package showed the harmony of the Yogya community.
