When will the 2026 East Java MSE be announced?
Although the simulation above will provide an illustration, workers and entrepreneurs must wait for an official announcement from the regional government.
Based on news circulating, the government has determined that the announcement of an increase in the 2026 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) is likely to be made on December 8.
After the UMP is determined, the local government will usually announce the size of the UMK in each district/city.
Signal from the Central Government
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, on Friday, December 5 2025, confirmed that regulations regarding minimum wages had been discussed at the central level.
This gives a signal that the decision regarding wage increases, which will be taken into consideration in calculating the UMK, will be announced soon this December.
