DIY power outage schedule Thursday (8/14), PLN carries out network maintenance at various points

YOGYAKARTA – Thursday, August 14, 2025, residents of the Special Region of Yogyakarta must be prepared to face a pause of electricity supply

PT PLN (Persero) moves quickly to maintain and improve services on the electricity network to increase the reliability of supply and quality of service to customers. This step has the consequences of temporary blackouts in a number of strategic points.

PLN emphasized that all of this work was carried out to expand the network, strengthen construction, and secure electricity so that future disorders can be minimized.

Field officers will spread at various points, ranging from the city center to the industrial estate, to ensure that the work runs according to time targets.

Blackout schedule in several regions

Samirono Condongcatur Becomes a starting point
On Wednesday (8/13) at 10:00 to 13:00 WIB, Yogyakarta City Customer Service Unit (ULP) officers immediately moved in Samirono Condongcatur and its surroundings.

They work on the expansion of the network that is expected to open more electricity access to densely populated areas.

Residents are asked to prepare because the electricity supply around the location will be stopped temporarily during this process.

Kalasan Solid Industrial Activities are also affected
Still on the same day, at 10.30-13.30 WIB, ULP Kalasan runs a network maintenance which includes the vital path of Jl. Sitimulyo – SEGOROYOSO.

This temporary blackout will affect various public and industrial facilities, ranging from Kartika Husada Clinic, MTs N 7 Bantul, large warehouses such as Qhome Mart 88/20, PT Agung Saputra Textile, to the Banyakan Industrial Estate.

Learning activities, health, to factory production must adjust the blackout schedule.

Sentolo and Taruban Industrial Estates are targeted by construction work
ULP Wates also runs new construction installation at 10:00 to 13:00 WIB in the Sentolo, Taruban, Tuksono, Krebet, Little Asem Industrial Estates, and surrounding areas.

This infrastructure is expected to be the backbone of electricity supply for growing industrial areas.

In addition, ULP Wates carried out network maintenance in Kalidengen, Kaligintung, Balong, Girigondo, Temon Market, to Temon Kulon.

For three hours, electricity in this region will be extinguished to allow technicians to check and repair cables and distribution pole.

The focus of maintenance in Wonosari and Sleman

Wonosari and Sleman focus on cutting trees near the network
ULP Wonosari officers moved at DN Kranon Kepek, DN Ledoksari, Siyono Village, Jl. Nusantara, and Jl. Kyai Legi. They carry out maintenance and slaughtering trees that are too close to the electricity network (ROW) to prevent the potential for short circuit and disruption during strong winds.

In Sleman, officers focus on work on Jl. Gabugan Raya, DN Kloncoman, large warehouses such as SCH and Tjipta Dim. Trees whose branches approach the cable will be cut out for the safety and smoothness of electricity.

PLN invites the community to participate in maintaining the safety of electricity. Residents are asked not to build buildings, antenna pole, or billboards that are too close to the electricity network, do not play kites under the cable, and do not cut down trees near the network without coordination with officers.
