Deputy KSP Muhammad Qodari Encourage Prabowo Assistance to become the official asset of the Gunungkidul Regency Government

KABARJAWA – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential (KSP) Muhammad Qodari encouraged the acceleration of the handover process of the Pompanization of the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) Prabowo Subianto to immediately become the official asset of the Gunungkidul Regency Government.

He directly visited one of the locations of pompanization in Whawon Semin, Gunungkidul, Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Qodari emphasized that this pompanization project has a big impact on food security and the welfare of farmers in areas that have often experienced drought. He has received information about the number of points planned and realized.

“Furthermore, we will follow up with the Ministry of Defense to ensure the handover process runs smoothly,” Qodari said on the sidelines of his visit.

Qodari rate, the acceleration of administrative processes is very important so that assets in the form of water pumps can be immediately managed by the Gunungkidul Regency Government and used by the community. When the pump is available and functions, then the legality process is left.

“It must be immediately handed over to the local government so that it can be utilized optimally by farmers,” he said.

Gunungkidul is the only DIY Regency who receives a pompanization program

This pompanization project is a collaboration between the Ministry of Defense and Defense University. The program aims to help areas that have serious challenges in water management, especially for agricultural irrigation needs.

Gunungkidul Regency is the only region in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) who received assistance in this program. Gunungkidul Regent, Endah Subekti Kintariningsih, welcomed the initiative enthusiastically.

“Alhamdulillah, from all districts in DIY, only Gunungkidul received assistance in the pompanization program. This is very helpful for us in dealing with irrigation problems, especially to irrigate agricultural land that has been water difficulties,” Endah said.

Endah revealed that the pompanization project included 52 location points, with 15 points of which had been completed and ready to use. He hopes that the presence of KSP Deputy Muhammad Qodari can accelerate the process of completion and strengthen cross -ministry communication.

“With the presence of Mr. Qodari in the field, we hope that this information can be directly forwarded to the President. We really need support from the center so that the handover process can be completed immediately,” he added.

The presence of this water pump is expected to increase residents’ agricultural output, reduce dependence on rain, and encourage regional food security. Gunungkidul Regency Government is ready to manage this infrastructure after officially becoming part of regional assets.

The acceleration step driven by the KSP representative shows the seriousness of the government in synchronizing central assistance with regional needs. The hope, this cooperation model can be an example in resolving the problem of water and agricultural crisis in other areas.
