Polairud 75th Anniversary, Ditpolairud Polda DIY Saves 43 Maritime Victims and Takes Firm Action Against Destructive Fishing Perpetrators

KabarJawa.com– The Directorate of Water and Air Police (Ditpolairud) of the DIY Regional Police held a commemoration of its 75th Anniversary on Monday (1/12/2025) at the Anton Soedjarwo Building, DIY Regional Police Headquarters.

This activity was attended by the Deputy Chief of Regional Police for DIY, Brigadier General Pol Eddy Djunaedi, SIK, as well as all the Main Officials of the DIY Regional Police, marking a moment of reflection and appreciation for the achievements throughout 2025.

Carrying the theme “Precision Polairud Towards Advanced Indonesia”, this 75th anniversary celebration emphasizes the role of the Yogyakarta Regional Police Directorate of Polairud.

They are the front guard in maintaining water security, providing the best public services, and supporting the progress of Yogyakarta’s maritime sector.

In his speech read by the Deputy Chief of the DIY Police, the DIY Police Chief Inspector General Anggoro Sukartono, SIK, appreciated the dedication of all Ditpolairud personnel.

The Regional Police Chief highlighted the brilliant achievements throughout 2025.

• Binmas Air’s activities are to prevent maritime crimes such as drug smuggling and human trafficking
• Marine SAR alert which succeeded in saving 43 victims of maritime accidents
• Strict law enforcement against four cases of destructive fishing that damage marine ecosystems

The Regional Police Chief emphasized that this achievement must continue to be improved by prioritizing the quality of service to the community.

He hopes that Yogyakarta’s territorial waters will be safe and comfortable for economic activities, tourism and other maritime activities.

“Polairud has a strategic position in supporting Indonesia’s maritime potential as the largest archipelagic country in the world. The momentum of this anniversary is not only a form of gratitude for the long journey of service, but also an opportunity to strengthen the commitment to maintain water security and support community welfare,” said the DIY Regional Police Chief with full confidence.

He hopes that all Ditpolairud personnel will have steadfastness and fluency in carrying out their duties in maintaining the security of the Yogyakarta Regional Police’s legal waters.

The Regional Police Chief also prayed that God would always provide protection in his service to the community, nation and state.

The series of commemorations for the 75th Anniversary of the Yogyakarta Police Polairud closed with magical prayers and joint prayers for the victims of the recent disasters.
