Check the readiness of the Porda XVII DIY 2025 venue, the committee found a number of notes in Gunungkidul

KABARJAWA – Gunungkidul’s readiness as the host of parts of the Regional Sports Week (Porda) XVII DIY 2025 continues to accelerate.

Chairman of the Porda XVII DIY Implementation Committee, Gunungkidul Regency, Agus Mantara, went down directly with the technical team to review one by one the match venues.

From the results of the checking, the committee found a number of notes that had to be immediately followed up so that the prestigious event at the provincial level went smoothly without obstacles.

Agus Mantara asserted that checking was not just a formality, but to ensure the feasibility standard of venues was actually fulfilled.

It targets all sports arena in Gunungkidul to be ready according to the implementation schedule.

“We will immediately follow up on the records through cross -party coordination,” he said confidently.

Handayani Stadium is the main spotlight

The committee paid special attention to the Handayani Stadium, which will be one of the central locations. The participant entry path, VIP, and VVIP have been clearly separated.

The athlete defile plans to enter through the north door, passing the front stage of the scoreboard, then paid homage to the honorary stands before heading to the seat.

Parking for VVIP and VIP is in front of the stadium, while the parking scheme participants are still waiting for the finalization of the layout.

The committee realized that small details such as the entry and parking lots could affect the comfort of thousands of participants and invited guests.

Other DIY 2025 Porda Venue Readiness

• Kodim Swimming Pool Need Rehabilitation

In the Kodim swimming pool, the technical team found some urgent jobs. The main podium will be rehabilitated soon, the committee room is placed on the left side of the entrance, and the pool path is equipped with a rope and a marker flag.

Shallow ponds in the southeast side are even specifically to help athletes adapt temperatures before competing.

• Focus field to electricity and lighting

Checking also takes place at the shooting range, where sports are demanding high concentration.

The committee prepared a generator capacity of 20,000 watts to anticipate electricity disorders. Lighting will also increase even though the existing facilities are sufficient.

The VIP parking area is centered in the field, while athletes will occupy the hospital parking with more adequate access to exit and in and out.

• Other venues get a variety of notes

A number of other venues are also included in the evaluation list.

1. Art Building: Bathroom repair is complete, the blower is installed.
2. Pentaque Field: Still need painting the east side and the arrangement of the western area.
3. Public Service Mall (MPP): Empty kiosk becomes a contingent transit room, but requires additional lights for the dance sport branch.
4. Pelvic Field: Need to level up the land at several points and evaluation of the feasibility of the Woodball branch.
5. GOR VOCATION UNY: Only use one tennis court and requires a wind cover for badminton matches.
6. Siraman Volleyball Field: Still waiting for improvement of lighting, carpet rental, and additional bathroom facilities.
7. GOR SIYONO: The roof leaks, the floor broke, the bathroom is damaged, and the lights are not feasible.
8. GOR Banaran: Relative without a significant note, most ready among other venues.

Although many records arise, the committee emphasized that all improvements can be overtaken before the event runs.

Agus Mantara said coordination with various parties would be accelerated, ranging from technical improvement, provision of facilities, to the arrangement of access and parking access.

Gunungkidul is determined to present the implementation of Porda XVII DIY 2025 which is not only technically successful, but also gives a deep impression to athletes, officials, and the community.
