Journal of KHD Education Philosophy

Journal of KHD Education Philosophy – Education given to children based on Ki Hajar Dewantara’s thoughts must be oriented to children. So as teachers, we must be able to provide freedom to children to develop ideas, think creatively, develop students’ talents/interests as unique individuals with their respective potentials. The freedom given by the teacher is not by releasing students to fully study alone, but by giving examples, guidance, and direction so that students can be more developed.

Education given to children needs to consider nature and nature of the times because the needs and developments of each generation are certainly different. In the current era, of course education given to students must be adjusted to the nature of the times, meaning that it is adjusted to the 21st century education. Education in the current era requires that each student has a skill and potential that can be held at least by students to adapt life in the future when leaving school.

I consider that I have carried out learning activities Module 1.1 well. I have understood the main concepts of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s philosophy, such as Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, and Tut Wuri Handayani. I have also implemented the philosophy in the initiative of change in my school, which is to make a tutoring program for students who are academically and economically. I learned that as a driving teacher, I must be an example, motivator, and facilitator for my students. I also learned that as part of the Indonesian people, I must appreciate and maintain the noble values inherited by Ki Hajar Dewantara.

I can conclude the Journal of KHD Education Philosophy that education is everything or a process to deliver a successful student both for his personality and in society in accordance with his talent. Character can be formed from exemplary and norm rules that become a shared agreement. From the example can shape the noble character character in accordance with the strengthening of the profile of Pancasila.

I plan to continue and develop the initiatives of changes that I have made with friends majoring. I want to make extracurricular programs more effective and efficient, by involving more students, teachers, and parents. The program is leaving for the interest of talent or passion from students. I also want to make the program more interesting and fun, by using varied and creative learning methods. I will try to invite all school members to participate in the program, so as to create a conducive and harmonious learning atmosphere. I hope that with the program, I can help my students to improve their achievements and welfare.
